"I've tried so many different medicines and I haven't really found a cure..." A Rutger's student explains her struggle in resolving this common neurological syndrome. Is there a cure out there? What has worked for you?

When I first started getting headaches I was confused initially, I felt like I didn't know why this was happening.



My name is Tina, I'm from Marlborough, New Jersey. I didn't know anyone else was experiencing these problems so I didn't really know how to handle it. I was very young so I was obviously upset, I was crying all the time. I couldn't play with my friends, I was always home or sleeping and going to all these different doctors and no one really could tell me anything to do about it.



I've tried so many different medicines and I haven't really found a cure to help me. As I've been getting older it kinda stopped but I'm still getting them at least once every three, four months. I'm going to do what I've always been doing. I know that I need to get enough sleep, I can't pull all nighters, I have to make sure that I eat on time otherwise I get light headed, I get dizzy.



I think that it's a problem that many people have and it's not really looked at as seriously as it should be. I think people refer to it as just common headaches when they're actually more severe and much more painful than people may initially think.
